Dr. Dana Zarhin

Dana Zarhin earned her PhD in Sociology from Brandeis University where she wrote her dissertation about the social experience of obstructive sleep apnea under the guidance of the distinguished sociologist Professor Peter Conrad. She is now a postdoctoral research fellow at the School of Public Health at Haifa University where she conducts research on medical cannabis policies. She has additionally studied and written about epilepsy, prostitution and sex trafficking. Her research and teaching interests include the sociology of health and illness, gender studies, sociology of the body, and qualitative research methods, as well as science and technology studies.
